At the end of the training, the learner will be able to:

• Know the legislation regarding first aid in business
• Master the security aspects related to the care of a victim
• Make a relevant call to the emergency services
• Respect the principles of hygiene
• Understand the basic concepts of anatomy and physiology
• Carry out a primary assessment (consciousness, breathing, vital emergencies)
• Perform effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Use a semi-automatic external defibrillator (AED)
• Position a victim in the side safety position (PLS)
• Clearing a foreign body from the upper airways
• Perform appropriate actions when faced with a victim in acute respiratory distress or with chest pain
• Execute appropriate actions when faced with a victim experiencing a convulsive seizure
• Early detection of a victim having a Cerebral Vascular Accident (CVA)
• Take appropriate actions when faced with a victim under intoxication (food, alcohol, medication, drugs)
• Master the technique of immobilizing the cervical spine in order to prevent complications from possible spinal injuries
• Make a simple retainer or a Spica bandage
• Acquire good reflexes during burns or electrification
• Carry out appropriate care when faced with hemorrhage
• Perform appropriate actions to preserve an amputated limb
• Use an insulated blanket appropriately
• Work while respecting the ergonomics of your back

Teaching methods used

Learner-centered approach, favoring interactive teaching methods such as active learning, role-playing and emergency simulations to ensure an immersive learning experience. Through problem-based learning and constructive feedback, our participants develop crucial practical skills, improve their decision-making in emergency situations and build confidence in their first-aider abilities.

The assessment is carried out continuously throughout the course, in order to guarantee constant progress and effective assimilation of skills and knowledge. This approach makes it possible to measure not only the acquisition of the technical skills essential to a competent first aider, but also the development of interpersonal skills, such as the ability to work in a team, stress management and effective communication in an emergency situation.

Certification

Any learner who has validated the skills targeted in the training objectives receives a “First Aid Certificate”. This training is approved by SPF Emploi, Code of well-being at work.
